The Richard G. Trefry Library
The Trefry Library is an electronic academic library serving AMU/APU students, faculty, staff, and alumni. It is comprised of thousands of online resources including licensed article/scholarly journal databases, ebooks, and video collections chosen specifically to support the educational programs at AMU/APU. Our team of professional librarians is available 365 days a year at [email protected] to assist with research strategies, website navigation, and identifying and utilizing appropriate credible and scholarly information resources.
Students can access the library directly from the classroom or ecampus. Faculty access is provided through the classroom and the Faculty Connect portal. As a benefit to our AMU/APU graduates, lifelong access to many of the library's resources is available through their ecampus page.
The Trefry Library offers an array of online resources and self-help tools like library video tutorials to assist with searching techniques and navigating databases, librarian created guides designed to help direct scholarly research in hundreds of disciplines, math tutorial videos, streaming film & music, the Pronunciator language lab, and information literacy resources. We offer information on how to access live one-on-one tutoring on a wide variety of subjects, and our Writing@APUS writing reference resource provides supplemental writing support for AMU/APU writers across disciplines.
The mission of the Richard G. Trefry Library is to provide quality resources to support learning across all disciplines. Our goal is to assist students in the development of information literacy skills relevant to the digital era to promote research, discovery, and critical thinking. We offer research and reference guidance, using methods of communication that fit the lifestyle of today’s students. We support the university’s mission by providing virtual access to American Military University/American Public University students and faculty worldwide.
