Master of Education: Online Teaching
Program Description
The Master of Education in Online Teaching program is designed for those who teach, facilitate, or lead in K-12 virtual/online or hybrid schools or institutions and who already hold K-12 teacher licensure(s). This program does not lead to licensure.
This program has specific admissions requirements.
Degree Program Objectives
In addition to the institutional and degree level learning objectives, graduates of this program are expected to achieve these learning outcomes:
- Analyze digital learning strategies that impact student learning.
- Analyze ways to participate as members of professional learning communities.
- Apply research to address digital learning problems in practice.
- Apply approaches to interact effectively with program mentors, academic specialists, colleagues, parents, and community stakeholders in digital learning contexts.
- Evaluate subjects they teach and how to teach those subjects to digital learners.
- Evaluate digital assessments.
- Create digital learning environments for online, face-to-face, and/or hybrid contexts.
Programmatic Admission Requirements
The following documentation is required for admission into the M.Ed. in Online Teaching program, and must be provided prior to course registration:
- Signed statement of understanding (SOU)

- You are required to take EDUC621 as the first course in this degree program, but other courses may be taken in conjunction with EDUC621.
